Cars That Will Last Longer than 15 Years
Friday, December 7th, 2018
If you have ever financed a car, you know that there is an immense amount of freedom when you pay it off. Unfortunately, not every vehicle lasts much longer than the pay off date- not every vehicle can go the distance. If you’re looking into purchasing a car soon and plan on keeping it a long time, check out this awesome survey from Iseecars.com that breaks down the most popular cars that owners tend to keep for over 15 years.
To get this data, Iseecars.com observed and analyzed over 650,000 used cars from 1981-2002, sold between January through November 2017. For each model, the number of cars sold by the original owner was expressed as a percentage of the total number of cars sold. “Original-owner” cars were bought as new by the owner. The models were then ranked by the original-owner percentage.
As you can see, Toyota pretty much dominates the list with Honda and Acura in close pursuit. This is really not that surprising, as all brands focus on building quality, and efficient cars for an affordable price. Another thing that can be seen from this list is that almost all brands are made by Japanese manufactures- minus the VW Golf. There are no U.S. brands here, though of course some of these models are made in America.
The next time you’re car shopping, remember brand new doesn’t mean everything. If you buy a great quality car pre loved, then you’ll be saving money in the long run! Here at Drive Casa, we have almost all the models listed above in our inventory right now! Most are only a couple years old! So what are you waiting for? Click here to search our inventory!
How to Improve Your Credit Score
Sunday, October 14th, 2018
Cash is slowly becoming a thing of the past. We live in a world of credit, and maintaining a good credit score can mean the difference between having the necessities of life and struggling to get by. There are many factors that contribute to your credit score and trying to understand them all can be a daunting task. One thing is for certain, if you are one of the many people with a credit score that is considered poor or if you have no credit history to speak of, it is time to get back on track.
At Drive Casa, helping people fix damaged credit histories is priority number one. Because we are so committed to credit maintenance and repair, we have compiled some quick tips on how to get a less than perfect credit score back on track.
Get Rid of Your Debt
The most obvious tip is to pay off as much outstanding debt as possible without adding new charges. Outstanding balances can bring a credit score down. While paying off your debt in one big swoop may be unrealistic, increasing your monthly payment even by just a few dollars can make a significant difference.
Don’t Close Unused Accounts
Avoid closing unused accounts. Getting rid of old accounts might make you less likely to use credit, and it also wipes out part of your credit history. People with little or no credit history will face the same challenges as those people with poor credit.
Check your Credit Score
Keep an eye on your credit report. Everyone makes mistakes – even the credit bureaus! There may be inaccurate information on your credit report that is contributing to a low score. Each of the main credit bureaus maintains a dispute department. If something doesn’t look right, report it.
Create a Budget
Create a personal budget and stick to it. Being disciplined with your finances will help avoid the pitfalls that helped lower your credit score to begin with.
These tips are just a few things you can do to help improve your credit score.
Establishing new credit so that you can re-establish a solid payment history can be hard with a tainted credit score. This is where we can help the most! We help people with little or no credit get into quality used automobiles regardless of their history. When you purchase a vehicle from us, you not only get a reliable vehicle but you take the first steps in showing a positive payment history. For more information, please visit our website!
How to Find the Vehicle That’s Right For You
Wednesday, November 8th, 2017
If you’re in the market for a vehicle, choosing the right one can be overwhelming. With almost an infinite amount of vehicles to choose from and places to look in, are you left wondering how you can find the vehicle that’s right for you?
Do you need a car that has plenty of interior space? Is fuel-efficiency important to you? What color best reflects your personality? These are all valid questions when looking for your next car. In order to make your decision-making process easier, we have compiled a list of tips you should keep in mind when buying your next vehicle:
Price
That flashy BMW may be the car of your dreams, but can you afford it? Once you have developed a budget and know how much you are willing to spend on a vehicle, your choice will become more clear and you can narrow down your search. (Here’s a simple tool to get you started!)
Needs
Everyone uses their car for a different purpose and are looking to satisfy different needs. One person may have a long commute to work and need something more fuel-efficient, while someone else may need a hefty vehicle capable of carrying a heavy load. In order to get the right vehicle, you need to consider what kind of features would make your life easier.
Flexibility
Once you have decided on a make and model that will satisfy your needs and not break the bank, your search is essentially over. However, we advise you to keep your mind open and do some research on other models in the same class as your preferred vehicle. Sales take place all the time and you might get a better deal on a car that may not be your first choice but shares a lot of features with your dream vehicle.
If you follow these tips, the search for your next vehicle will be painless and quicker than you think. Good luck on your search!
